The Joke
The shirt prints GRANDPA: "That's groovy." and GEN Z: "is that an app". "Groovy" is 1960s and 70s slang for great. The cartoon teen has never heard it and searches his phone for an app by that name.
Design
The front is a cartoon scene from the GenZ Decoded cast, printed large on the chest: Grandpa in a cyan cardigan, round glasses and a white moustache, and a Gen Z teen in an electric blue hoodie and wired earbuds with a deadpan stare. Grandpa gives a big thumbs up while the teen squints at his phone. Two speech bubbles carry the words, and the caption LOST IN TRANSLATION sits below. The small two-bubble GenZ Decoded logo is on the left sleeve.
Made For
Grandpas and grandkids who share a laugh. It is aimed at any family where the older generation still says groovy.
