Wiktionary defines it as slang for no chance or possibility, used to express amazement and disbelief, and preserves a February 6, 2022 tweet reacting to a lucky Wordle guess with "NO SHOT" and an April 2, 2022 Reddit comment using it the same way about a plot twist. The reading changes in front of a future action. "No shot I am doing that" means the speaker sees zero chance it happens, usually because they are the one refusing to make it happen, a prediction and a refusal in one clipped phrase. That use leans on the older, plainer sense of "shot" as a chance or opportunity, the same sense behind "he has no shot at making the team," which Collins Dictionary lists among the word's standard senses and synonyms. Direction matters too. Said to you right after you report something, "no shot you did that" challenges or marvels at what you just said.
