- [square up](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/square-up/): To square up is to face someone in a fighting stance and challenge them, usually as a joke over something small. The same phrase can also mean to pay a bill.
- [aced it](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/aced-it/): Aced it means someone did something extremely well, like getting a top score or an A on a test, or handling an interview or task with clear success. It is praise.
- [ran through](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/ran-through/): Ran through is a derogatory slang term for someone, usually a woman, whom the speaker believes has had many sexual partners, used to call them used up.
- [blabbing](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/blabbing/): Blabbing means talking too much or carelessly, and often telling a secret you were supposed to keep. It is informal English and usually a criticism.
- [rn](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/rn/): Rn is texting shorthand for "right now", as in "so tired rn" or "can't talk rn". It is neutral and casual, and the words around it decide the mood.
- [can you dig it](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/can-you-dig-it/): "Can you dig it?" asks whether you understand, agree with or like something. It is older American slang, best known today from the 1979 film The Warriors.
- [slept on](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/slept-on/): Slept on means underrated: a song, player, product or person that deserves more attention than it gets. Calling something slept on is praise for it.
- [doing you](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/doing-you/): Doing you means being yourself and making your own choices instead of changing to please other people. "You do you" tells someone else to make their own call.
- [smash](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/smash/): Smash is slang for having sex with someone, usually casually, as in "I'd smash" or "wanna smash?". It is blunt and crude, and it says nothing about romance.
- [dude](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/dude/): Dude is casual slang for a guy or a friend, and many people also say it to women and to groups. On its own it is a reaction, as in "dude, no way."
- [smooth](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/smooth/): Smooth means confident and charming in a way that looks effortless, like a well-timed flirty line or a quick recovery. Said to you, it is usually praise.
- [egirl](https://genzdecoded.com/blog/egirl/): An egirl is a girl or young woman with a very online persona and an alternative look mixing emo, goth, anime and gaming style. It can be a self-label or an insult.
